Medicinal shrub ideal for edges and rockery. It is laxative, diuretic and vasoconstrictor. It is used to make a yellow dye. This dye or extract is used in case of skin diseases.
Evergreen woody shrub growing up to 1m. It has green, lanceolate leaves. Golden yellow clustered flowers. The fruit is a long bright green pod.
Prefers acid, clay and poor soils. It grows in humid zones and riverbanks.
Place the seeds in boiling water at 90ºC for 5 seconds and immediately after transfer to running water with ice cubes in it. Soak for 24h and then proceed to the sowing maintaining temperatures of 15ºC until the germination is completed.
