SEEDS OF WORMWOOD - ARTEMISIA ABSINTHIUM

Medicinal herb. Ornamental for borders and pots. Among its numerous medicinal properties the most relevant ones would be that it increases appetite, balances indigestion and gastric pain. It helps the liver to eliminates intestinal worms. It regulates menstrual cycles acting on the womb. A herbal tea is made to relieve and help the delivery. This plant is found in the spirit of wormwood better known as Absinthe. In some regions of Africa it flavours a herbal tea as a subsitute for mint.

Perennial, aromatic and densely branched plant of up to 1.2m. Greenish-grey leaves. Pale yellow and tubular flowers. It does well on poor, sandy and dry soils under cold climates.

Direct sowing at temperatures of 18ºC/22ºC.
