PLANTS OF BASIL GENOVESE, SWEET BASIL - OCIMUM BASILICUM
Aromatic and culinary plant to grow in pots and in the garden. Large-leaf type. Pesto type.
It is used as a condiment and a herb for sauces, fish, soups, cheese, vegetables etc… The leaves have medicinal properties such as antispasmodic, sedative, tonic, digestive, diuretic and antiseptic.
Evergreen plant of almost 50cm with white flowers set in spikes in summer. It grows on light and neutral soils.
