PLANTS OF BIRCH - BETULA PUBESCENS

Timber and ornamental tree with medicinal properties. Riverbanks and mountains areas. Used for paper pulp and firewood. It has healing, diuretic, antiseptic properties that are found in the essential oil, leaves, bark, buds and sap. With its essential oil shampoos and soaps are made.

It can grow up to 20m of a height. The leaves are diamond-shaped, serrated and green. The small flowers are scented, brown, yellowish and greenish. It likes acid, humid and well-drained soils.
