PLANTS OF SMOOTHLEAF ELM - ULMUS MINOR
Ideal tall and large tree for shade, alignment. Good timber. Medicinal properties. In the past its wood was used to make machine parts and in building industry. It is a remedy in case of joint pains and helps sweating.
This tree can reach 20-30m. Lanceolate and serrated bright green leaves. Reddish flowers before leaves in March.
Prefers light, fertile, deep and humid soils. Hardy.
