Famous tree known for its medicinal properties and its edible parts. It contains vitamins A, B, C, E, K…; antioxidants and minerals such as potassium, iron, magnesium, calcium… It has multiple properties used in traditional medicine. Moreover its fruit, leaves, seeds, roots and flowers are edible as a condiment or drinked in herbal tea. The crushed seeds act as decontaminant of polluted or dirty waters making them drinkable.
Tree up to 12m with open crown. The creamy and scented flowers comes after the leaves. They are oval and light green. The pods contain dark brown rounded and winged seeds. Very fast growing tree.
It prefers neutral or acid and fresh soils.
