An ornamental tree with medicinal properties to grow as an isolated tree, in rockeries or pots for terraces and yards.
When its sap is in contact with air it turns red. Once dry and in powder it cures haemorrhages and ulcers. It is used to clean teeth and gingivas.
It can reach 25m in height even if it is a slow-growing tree. Green and azure thick spade-like leaves. Little yellow flowers and orangey globe-shaped fruit.
It adapts to any types of soils if cool and humid.
