The leaves change to give different oxidation levels creating the different types of tea. It has medicinal properties against illnesses such as tumour, diarrea, tiredness, asthma or bladder problems.
It is possible to prune this tree when it is 3 years old to give it a shrub-like.
Evergreen tree up to 10m tall. The leaves are bright green and the flowers are white-yellowish. Camellia oil is obtained from the leaves once crushed.
Prefers acid, organic matter rich soils.
