PLANTS OF BIRD OF PARADISE - CAESALPINIA GILLIESII

Small tree with ferny leaves and showy flowers. Very attractive. Gardens and pots. The flowers are used as a yellow dye. If it is planted near a window at home, it will prevent small insects to enter for they will be stuck because of the sticky substance produced by its branches.

It is a 2-3 m tall tree with deciduous dark-green leaves. The flowers are yellow with red stamens.

Adapts to any soils if they are well-drained.

Soak the seeds in cool water for 24 hours before sowing.
