Elegant tree perfect for paths, gardens and parks. Fast growing. Honey production. The wood is used in decorative applications, for paper pulp and low-cost furniture. This tree is used in cities for its resistance to urban pollution.
Native to North America this tree can reach 10-15 m in height. Unlike most Maples which usually have palmate leaves this one has pinnate leaves. The flowers are small and appear in early spring on drooping racemes 10-20 cm long.
Adapts to any soil as long as it is sandy and chalky.
