The Japanese wineberry produces a red fruit with a sweet and fruity taste. The plant can be grown as a single plant or in groups.
Semi-evergreen 2-3m high with a bushy habit. Green leaves turning yellow in autumn. White blossom. Red fruits. Self-pollinating.
Adapts to all types of soil, but prefers well-drained, rich soil. Hardy to -20ºC.
