PLANTS OF ’HARDY RED’ OLEANDER - NERIUM OLEANDER
This variety of Oleander is drought tolerant, heat, wind and disease resistant and very durable.
Dense-growing, upright shrub with narrow, leathery, dark green leaves. Clusters of red flowers all summer long.
The Oleander is an ornamental shrub perfect for edges, rockery, hedges and pots. Used for landscaping and windbreaker. Medicinal properties used in pharmacology and cosmetic. It is a poisonous plant for people and pets. Baskets are made from the stems. Caterpillars and moths eat the leaves.
Prefers light, neutral and well-drained soils.
