Metrosideros x subtomentosa ‘Mistral’ is a New Zealand native, natural hybrid of Metrosideros excelsa and Metrosideros robusta.
Evergreen tree up to 5m with dense foliage of thick, lance-shaped, olive-green leaves. Striking and curious bloom formed by intense red filaments, ending in a rounded yellow tip.
