Hydrangea paniculata “Pink Lady” is a very hardy ornamental shrub, prized for its large panicle-shaped flowers and its colour change throughout the season. It is used in gardens as a specimen plant, in flowering hedges and in large pots. Ideal for all types of gardens.
Deciduous shrub with a height of 1.5 to 2.5 metres. Flowers in large clusters, cream-white at the beginning (summer) turning deep pink at the end of the flowering season (autumn).
Exposure in full sun or partial shade. Very cold-hardy (down to approx. -25 °C). Requires well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic to neutral soil. Needs regular watering, especially in summer. Prune in late winter or early spring (it flowers on new wood, so it can be pruned heavily). Fertilise in spring to encourage flowering.
