Excellent wind-resisting shrub for sea-side planting. Ornamental. Edible orange fruits. Medicinal properties. From the seeds an esencial oil is extracted to be used in cosmetics for its healing, dermic and antioxidant properties. The plant is used in landscaping projects. The plant contributes to fixing soils.
Thorny shrub growing up to 3m with an irregular shape. Deciduous and lanceolate leaves. The flowers are green-yellowish and the fruit is orangey and fleshy.
It grows on sandy and humid soils.
