PLANTS OF SEA ORACHE - ATRIPLEX HALIMUS

Ornamental shrub to grow in coastline gardens, borders and hedgesThe leaves are eaten raw in salads. It is used to reduce flatulences. Perfect plant in coastline gardens and in fire-prone zones because this tree does not burn easily thanks to its salty leaves.

Perennial shrub up to 2m. Oval, wittish leaves. The flowers are yellow green and in tight clusters.

It adapts to salin, arid, sandy soils under dry climates. It adapts to stepped-like soils as well.

Dig a hole at least two or three times as wide and deep as the root ball. Take out the plant from the container and loosen roots to allow them to spread out in all direction. Cut possible broken roots. Mix the soil extracted with a substrate and fill part of the hole with the mixture obtained. Place the plant in the hole and cover with the remaining mixture. Compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
