Feijoa ’Mammoth’ is an exotic fruit shrub, with very fleshy and fragrant green fruits. Rich in vitamin C with which you can make jams, ice creams and drinks. Also recommended for dermatological, digestive and cardiovascular uses.
Also perfect as an ornamental plant in isolated specimen, in groups or hedges.
Evergreen, rounded shape and slow growth that can reach 5m in height. Gray-green leaves. Pinkish-white flowers with striking deep yellow or red stamens.
It grows in rich, well-drained soils, and tropical and subtropical areas for its fruit. Hardy to -12⁰C but must be protected from the wind.
It is recommended to be careful when pruning, since if it is done severely, it can be two years without bearing fruit.
