Medicinal plant, the leaves are used to cure liquid retention and to relieve enteritis. To cure enteritis, make a herbal tea out of 50g leaves for one litre boiling water, leave it infuse for about 20 minutes, filter and drink two or three very hot cups a day..
Evergreen plant of 20-80cm tall found by the watersides with an erect stem. The large leaves are bright green. Numerous small flowers. They are cone-shaped and white pink.
Needs soggy soils and temperate temperatures. Lives in humid zones, flood barriers, swamps or along riversides.
