Elegant conifer for ornamental and landscaping. Timber. Widely used in reforestation. Ornamental tree in rockery, as windbreaker and hedges in small gardens. The wood is light and aromatic. It contains an essential oil which was used as a diuretic time ago.
Evergreen tree between 15 and 20m tall with little greyish-green and very scented needles. The greenish cones become reddish when older.
