The Sago Palm is very decorative, perfect as an indoor plant, in container and for bonsai. It is widely used in landscaping of urban and coastal zones in the Mediterranean regions. Planted on a lawn it is a high value for of its elegance. Prefers sandy, acid or neutral and well drained soils.
Evergreen. Grows from 20cm to 2m. The leaves are dark green. They look like sickles as palm tree leaves do. The blooming is spectacular and is followed by the development of the seeds. They are big and covered with a thin orange skin.
