The commonest of all Birds of Paradise with yellow-orange and blue bird tongue flowers. Gardens, edges, indoor plant. Exotic species native of Africa. Hummingbirds make its pollination. It is extremely spectacular as a cut flower for table centerpieces and bunches of flowers.
Perennial flower with a green foliage of 1-1.5m in height. Green-blue, wide and long spray-shaped leaves. Orange and blue beak-shaped flowers.
Requires a vegetal and neutral soil from cool to humid.
