Prickly pear cactus! This plant from the cactus family will bring a different, colourful and unique touch to your garden or terrace.
It lacks leaves, instead it has stems that branch out and are flat, oval and green in colour. Characteristic thorns of two types, long and hard together with short and thin ones. Yellow, crown-shaped flowers growing on the edge of the stems. As fruits, red prickly pears. Both flowers and fruit bloom once a year. Up to 3m high.
It needs well-drained, sandy or sandy loam soils.
