PLANTS OF GRAPE VINE ’MERLOT’ - VITIS VINIFERA
Red grape belonging to the Cabernet franc and Cabernet sauvignon family.
The grape is of an intense ruby colour and elliptical shape, small in size. The flesh is sweet and juicy, although slightly hard. Medium-sized, slightly loose bunches.
Early budding and ripening. Very productive, ageing quickly although it does not lose quality. It produces full-bodied wines with good colour, elegant and complex aromas and rich in alcohol.
