PLANTS OF MAGENTA CHERRY ’NEWPORT’ - SYZYGIUM PANICULATUM 'NEWPORT'

Hedge at sight! This Magenta Cherry is a perfect shrub for both high and low hedges and is perfect for xeriscaping, cut tolerance and great thickness. Ideal for bonsai.

Evergreen, 4-5m high and 1.5m wide. Glossy dark green obovate leaves and white blossom that grows in clusters, not very abundant. Edible fruit in the form of purple berries.

As for pruning, it is best to prune once or twice a year. One in autumn or at the end of flowering, and the next in mid-spring. In this way we will obtain a healthier, more compact and bushy specimen.
