The European wild pear tree is the original species of all the pear varieties that exist. It is widely used as a rootstock, being very resistant to diseases and pests.
Tree up to 20m tall, with large, light green, ovo-rounded leaves with serrated edges. Flowering that grows in pinkish white clusters. The fruit is a greenish pear with black spots, very fleshy.
