PLANTS OF PISTACHIO MALE EGINO - PISTACIA VERA EGINO MALE

Male variety of the Pistacia vera. Strong vigor. Late flowering. Regular pollinator of the female variety Pistacia vera type Aegina. A male pistachio produces enough pollen for 8 to 12 female pistachios to bear fruit.

It prefers sandy loam soils, deep and well drained. It is a good alternative to take advantage of poor soils, thanks to its rusticity and resilience. Requires little water.

Dig a hole at least two or three times as wide and deep as the root ball. Take out the plant from the container and loosen roots to allow them to spread out in all direction. Cut possible broken roots. Mix the soil extracted with a substrate and fill part of the hole with the mixture obtained. Place the plant in the hole and cover with the remaining mixture. Compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.

Height of plant: 7 Litre pot: 100/110cm
