A fruit, ornamental, forest and medicinal tree. Grown for its edible fruit, the walnut. The walnuts are traded to be eaten fresh, to make oil and of course as one of the best dry fruit for a healthy diet. It has medicinal properties controlling fatty and folic acids. Its wood is of a good quality and very appreciated in carpentry and cabinet-making.
