A tree tomato, yes, yes, from a tree! This small tree produces small fruits similar to tomatoes in shape and taste, although they also resemble the taste of passion fruit. Juicy and sweet and sour.

A fruit tree growing up to 3-4 metres tall with dark green oval evergreen leaves. Small white-pink flowers that grow in clusters and edible orange fruits similar to tomatoes.

Grows well in sandy, well-drained soil.

Can be eaten raw or cooked. Contains vitamins A, C and E, magnesium, iron, potassium and phosphorus. It has been used to treat sore throats, colds and liver problems.
