A tropical fruit with greenish-yellow flesh, thin skin and an oval shape, very aromatic. An evergreen tree growing to 3-5 metres with oval leaves. White flowers with numerous stamens. It is honey-producing.
Its fruit, rich in vitamin C, is used to make jams and juices. It has many medicinal properties, including purifying, digestive, circulatory, expectorant, toning and revitalising.
