Passion fruit, known all over the world for its fruit, the passion fruit, used in multiple preparations, soft drinks, ice creams, fruit... Something sweet and slightly acidic. But it has another hidden beauty, its peculiar and striking flowers!

Creeper and climber of up to 10m with lobed evergreen leaves with a toothed margin. Very fragrant white flowers, topped by a band of purple-violet filaments. Oblong fruit, the size of a hen's egg, purplish-brown when ripe. Self------fertile.

Needs fertile, well-drained soil. Exposure to full sun, mild temperatures, being very sensitive to frost.

Passion fruit is rich in vitamins A and C. It has relaxing, sedative and calming effects, antispasmodic.
