The Salustiana orange is of medium size with a sweet and pleasant flavour. Spherical in shape but slightly flattened and seedless. The rind is pale orange and lumpy.
Valencian origin. Vigorous and upright. Thornless and with light green leaves. Very productive species.
They are consumed fresh, in salads, juices and pastries. They are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
Rootstock Macrophylla. (Sensitive to tristeza if grafted on orange trees, but tolerant if grafted on lemon trees. Hybrid widely used nowadays for its fast and good production. Suitable for all types of soil.)
