The Tangerines Hernandina are medium-sized, thick-skinned and intense in colour with juicy, almost seedless flesh.
They are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. They are consumed fresh, in salads, juices and pastries. They are also used in the cosmetic industry for their essential oil.
Macrophylla rootstock: Very vigorous variety. Used for giving a fast and high production, although not of very good quality. Normal ripening compared to the rootstock.
Sensitive to tristeza if grafted under orange tree, but tolerant if grafted on lemon tree. Very sensitive to frost.
