PLANTS OF CAVIAR LIME - CITRUS AUSTRALASICA

Small subtropical Australian tree, 2-6m with small, rounded-tipped, light green leaves. Very small pinkish-white blossom.
 
Elongated 4-8cm fruit in a variety of colours such as green, red or pink among others. In its interior small semi-transparent spheres of the same colour as the fruit, reminiscent of caviar. Flavour similar to lime.
 
Deep, rich, well drained and slightly acid soils. Hardy to -4ºC.
 
Macrophylla rootstock (Sensitive to tristeza if grafted under orange trees, but tolerant if grafted on lemon trees. Hybrid widely used nowadays for its fast and good production. Suitable for all types of soil).
