PLANTS OF MEXICAN LIME - CITRUS × AURANTIFOLIA

Natural hybrid variety between small-flowered Papeda and a Cidro. The lime is oval and small with thin, greenish-yellow skin. Juicy, acidic and fleshy inside, but of very low commercial quality.

Evergreen tree up to 5m with almost continuous white flowers. Perfect as rootstock for grafting.

Needs to be grown in humid and warm subtropical areas, as it is highly sensitive to cold.

It is consumed green with typical lime flavour and aroma. The best choice for seasoning fish dishes and preparing alcoholic cocktails.

Macrophylla rootstock (Sensitive to tristeza if grafted under orange tree, but tolerant if grafted on lemon tree. Hybrid widely used nowadays for its fast and good production. Suitable for all types of soil).
