The Calamondin or Dwarf Orange is a small fruit tree with a maximum height of 2m and rapid growth. It has evergreen foliage and abundant dark green foliage.
Its fruit is a mixture of orange and lemon: it resembles a mandarin and has an acid taste typical of lemons. Very aromatic with a round or slightly flattened shape.
Fresh, light and well-drained soils. Hardy to -3ºC.
Macrophylla rootstock (susceptible to tristeza if grafted on orange trees, but tolerant if grafted on lemon trees. Hybrid widely used nowadays for its fast and good production. Suitable for all types of soil).
