Colombine is used to decorate the gardens, borders and flowerbeds but also as a cutflower. It has astringent, diuretic and antipyretic properties. The seeds grounded and macerated in olive oil are used against louse. In the Antiquity it was used to stimulate appetite, as a diuretic and as an anti-perspirant.

Evergreen plant of 60cm. Double trumpet-like flowers, mixed colours from purple blue to white, in summer.
It will develop better on cool and well-drained soils. It needs 3 waterings per week and more in case of drought.
