Beautiful bulbous plant to create dense masses in borders, flowerbeds or rockeries. Very adaptable and easy to plant. Very attractive to butterflies and bees.
Bulbous plant, 20-60cm high, with showy flowers that grow in white or pink clusters from June to August. The whole plant is very aromatic, with an oniony smell.
The bulb is edible, although in small quantities, with a strong onion flavour. It is different from the rest of the Allium because its flowers curve downwards, as if the flower were nodding.
