Turmeric! Known and used as a food colorant and for being one of the ingredients of curry, so used in Indian cuisine, where it originates. You can add it to meat, fish, rice dishes and countless number of dishes!
Herbaceous up to 1m tall. With orange, cylindrical, long and aromatic roots. Long, lance-shaped green leaves. Small orange-yellow spike flowers.
The whole plant is edible, the roots for turmeric powder, the leaves for wrapping fish and steaming it, and the flowers for exotic food.
