It is used for floral decoration. The stems and leaves are used to savour cooked meats, meat, soups, eggs or vegetables, sauces and salads. Moreover it is used in wine and liquor macerations. It has astringent, antiseptic and digestive properties. Honeybee.
Deciduous plant up to 25cm with clustered lilac or white flowers. Tender leaves with some small hairs, lanceolate with a rounded edge.
Grows on dry, stony and sandy soils.
