PLANTS OF KIDNEYVETCH - ANTHYLLIS CYTISOIDES

Ornamental shrub for borders, hedges and rockery gardens. Does well planted together with other species to bring color to rockery and borders in gardens. It is widely planted in traffic circles. Reforestation in poor areas and erosion control. Honeybee plant producing a high-quality nectar. Medicinal properties to fight asthma, colds and stomach issues. It is used as firewood and sometimes as brooms. It can sprout again after a fire.

Small shrub, erect, up to 90cm with long green leaves and yellow flowers. It likes neutral, chalky, rocky and dry soils. It adapts to sea breeze.

Dig a hole at least two or three times as wide and deep as the root ball. Take out the plant from the container and loosen roots to allow them to spread out in all direction. Cut possible broken roots. Mix the soil extracted with a substrate and fill part of the hole with the mixture obtained. Place the plant in the hole and cover with the remaining mixture. Compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
