Organic gardening

Passionate people are more and more numerous in particular the people who choose to reconcile their love of plants with their concern to protect the environment. Organic gardening or ecological gardening focuses on environmental friendly farming methods by ensuring the natural ecosystem of a garden or vegetable garden should not be harmed by the use of products or artificial techniques.

As with everything in life, there are the defenders and detractors, and those who consider that we must take advantage of the advances and progress offered by modern technologies to ensure a beautiful garden or vegetable garden, productive and healthy. This is a direct consequence of the application to a small-scale garden of techniques developed for industrial agricultural production where the increasing demand for the product has forced in previous decades to apply environmentally unsound techniques in favor of a massive and more controlled production. Even if the new developments are specifically aimed at finding more respectful varieties, fertilizers and techniques.

However we must not forget that while professionals have to grow plants according to productivity rules, passionate people grow their garden for pleasure and it would be much easier to apply sustainability criteria for multiple benefits :

  • an organic garden or a biological vegetable garden are healthier for people
  • plants are less sensitive to diseases or infestation
  • lmaintenance costs are lower. The consumption of water, phytosanitary products and fertilizers is reduced.
  • a greater respect for nature which avoids the contamination of the ground and especially groundwater

But what is biological gardening? We are used to believe that it is limited to the use of organic phytosanitary products only but it goes well beyond this. We are used to believe that it is limited to the use of organic phytosanitary products only but it goes well beyond this. First of all, we must change the patterns and start designing the garden or kitchen garden differently and choose plants that are appropriate for their environment, avoiding the overconsumption of water and fertilizer. A plant that likes its location because it is its natural spot will be less sensitive to diseases and infestations.

We must also consider the way plants match : some plants hunt infestations, others attract them and make their manual elimination easier. Finally there is a multitude of natural fertilisers, correctors and phytosanitary products that allow a beautiful and productive garden without using chemicals.

In this section, we wanted to group products and articles related to organic gardening. From sustainably produced plants and seeds with an ecological certificate to eco-friendly substrates, fertilizers and pesticides.

We thus focus on organic fertilizers fungi of the genus Glomus, specially developed in our laboratories for horticultural and ornamental plants which already applies to large scale ecological cultures of Central Europe. Organic fertilizer of which we are particularly proud.
